-
Your manuscript must be double spaced and in Word format only. PDF is not acceptable. Use a 12-point font, such as Palatino or Times New Roman. Leave margins that are a minimum of 1 inch. Include continuous line numbering and page numbers.
-
To enable double-blind peer review, remove all identifying information regarding all authors and co-authors.

All tables, figures, photos, and artwork must be peer reviewed with the manuscript. Place charts, graphs, tables, photographs and line drawings at the end of your Word file. You must include captions for photos and drawings in your manuscript..
-
If your manuscript is part of a multi-chapter book, you must include the book’s Table of Contents as a separate file, and the book’s title and the Technical Editor (the person organizing the book).
-
If you are submitting a revised manuscript, do not submit it as a new submission. Please submit this as part of your original submission.
-
Authors agree to disclose all affiliations, funding sources, and financial or management relationships that could be perceived as potential sources of bias.
Thank you!
A note on pesticides
ANR manuscripts that include trade or chemical names of a pesticide(s) must be checked by this office before ANR peer review is considered complete and the publication can be published by ANR. The submission form may be found at the link to the OPIC review page.
If you have any questions about this process, please contact the Office of Pesticide Information and Coordination (OPIC) at OPIC@ucanr.edu, or (530) 750-1251.

Publication details
After a manuscript has gone through peer review and been accepted for publication are there: charges the author should know about, a timeframe the author can expect for publication turnaround, copy-editing and revision work needed from the author, additional files required by the journal?
